About

I grew up in a leafy London suburb called Teddington, and took my A Levels at St Paul’s School in Barnes. I left school wanting to study mechanical engineering like my grandfather, but took a gap year to explore the option of a liberal arts degree in America. I applied, and was accepted to Stanford University, CA.

At Stanford, I got involved with a few different extracurriculars; intramural sport, varsity rowing, marching band and teaching introductory computer science as a section leader in the CS198 program. Varsity rowing proved to be a highlight. During the summers, I was lucky to intern at two exciting and innovative tech companies - Axon and Airbnb.

After four years of toil, I graduated Stanford in 2019 with my Bachelor’s in Computer Science (AI track). Personal experiences with chronic illness fostered my interests in the application of distributed systems to public health, and nationalised healthcare systems, such as the NHS. At GRAIL (2019-), I have contributed to the early detection of cancer via the Reflow project, a file-oriented language and runtime used by bioinformaticians inside and outside the company.
